"...a person doesn't become a runner because someone recommends it. People basically become runners because they're meant to."

Check out dailymile - it's a free, on-line training log and a super motivational site. It's kind of like Facebook for runners.

About Run-NH.com

Site Mission: The primary mission of Run-NH.com is to provide an accurate source of information on all aspects of running in the Granite State. The website has been designed (and continues to be developed) to suit the needs of runners living in, moving to, or simply visiting the state of New Hampshire. My desire is for the site content to be user driven, and I welcome any suggestions that you might have - feel free to e-mail me!

Run-NH Webmaster Info: I moved to Concord, New Hampshire in 2003 after accepting a new faculty position at Saint Anselm College in Manchester (I'm a Biology professor). Between starting the new job, having two kids, and buying a new house, my free time pretty much disappeared. The lack of free time sucked away my ability and desire to exercise, I gained a bit of weight, and I felt like a slug. Something had to be done, so I started running. Since the Spring of 2007, I have logged well over 1000 miles, run two full marathons (both Vermont City) and two half marathons (both Manchester City), as well as many smaller road races. In 2008 I joined my local running club (Granite State Racing Team), and while scheduling doesn't permit me to run with them as much as I'd like, joining GSRT provided an added bit of motivation, and put me in touch with the local running community. I also started a blog, Runblogger, to which I post regularly on all things running. I'm still a beginner by all accounts (at both running, blog writing, and web design), but I have spent many hours searching the web, reading books, and doing research on all aspects of running - this website is my attempt to gradually compile some of what I have learned. Enjoy, and don't hesitate to contact me!
